Forma Arts and Wellness is a performing arts and fitness based facility offering instruction and studio space rentals in downtown Birmingham, AL. This space was the renovation of the 2nd level of a 100 year old building on 3rd Avenue North. The design includes Baltic birch walls and a laser cut chloroplast ceiling element that evokes movement and also helps control sound in a space where multiple styles of dance and instruction might be happening at once. We also removed a 20"x20" wood column to create a space large enough for ballroom dancing.
